We will taste the following wines this Saturday

  Sella & Mosca
'La Cala' Vermentino (Sardinia) $14.99
100% Vermentino - Pale yellow, elegant and supple, this single-vineyard wine couples fullness of flavor with an underlying acidity. Named for a small, secluded cove fringed by violet colored thistles on the edge of the Sella & Mosca estate. Shows an exceptional affinity with seafood, thanks to the very subtle presence of a natural marine salinity in the wine, due to the vineyard's seaside location.
Sella & Mosca
Cannonau di Sardegna D.O.C. Riserva - $17.99
100% Cannonau (Grenache) - Bright ruby color, with purple hues, the aromas project ripe red berry, including strawberry and raspberry jam. In the mouth, coffee, spices and herbs, including an aroma of violets, plummy fruit flavours and aristocratic oak overtone. Full, round, fruit forward, consumer friendly taste profile. Oak aged for two years in large Slavonian casks with several additional months in the bottle. Medium-bodied for food-friendly pairings.
 Sella & Mosca
Carignano D.O.C. Riserva
   (Sardinia) $18.99
100% Carignano (Carignan) Ruby red with a nose that suggests vanilla and well-articulated fruit. Harvested from old bush-trained vines in the harsh, dry conditions of the Sulcis district on the southwestern Sardinian coast. Aged for three years in oak barrels, with a fruit forward palate and lightly spicy, medium bodied with complexity on the finish.
     Planeta La Segreta Rosso
           D.O.C. - (Sicily) - $14.99
50% Nero d’Avola, 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Franc- La Segreta takes its name from the woods which surround our Ulmo vineyard. This young fresh wine principally produced from Nero d’Avola grapes, flagship of Sicilian wine, gains its personality and style with the addition of some international grapes.
    Planeta Cerasuolo Vittoria
          DOCG - (Sicily) - $26.99
60% Nero d’Avola 40% Frappato. The name of the only DOCG in Sicily comes from ‘Cerasa’, cherry in Sicilian dialect. It is produced from the indigenous varieties Nero d’Avola and Frappato. A unique wine, recognizable and unforgettable for its youthful flavors and aromas of cherry, strawberry and pomegranate. 92 pts. Wine Specatator
        Cusamano Alta Mora'
      Etna Rosso - (Sicily) - $26.99
100% Nerello Mascallese- Enticing scents of wild red berry, baking spice, aromatic herb and a balsamic note waft out of the glass. The elegant, juicy palate doles out succulent wild cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and a note of white pepper while a mineral note backs up the finish. It's well balanced, with bright acidity and ultrafine tannins.  94 pts. Wine Enthusiast/ Editor's Choice
