THE ORIN SWIFT FAMILY OF WINES
Dave Phinney, vintner and creator of Orin Swift Cellars does the best thing you can do with a political science degree, he makes wine. We are thrilled to have five of his wines on our shelves.
The Prisoner is comprised of mainly Zinfandel with a big dose of Cabernet Sauvignon with the magic of also adding just enough Petite Sirah, Charbono, Grenache and Malbec to make this one of the riches, complex, wonderful full bodied, wine you will ever taste!
Abstract is a blend of Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Syrah primarily from hillside vineyards. The aromas are laced with crushed black fruits and bing cherry with an excellent structure and balanced acidity.
Palermo, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, has a dense red/black hue. It has a dark berry and ripe currant nose with rich oak undertones and aged cigar box. A cab lovers delight.
Machete is like the big brother of Abstract, using more Petite Sirah. This wine has beautiful notes of just picked warm, ripe blackberry with licorice and cedar box on the nose. It is structured and complex, saturated with smoky, dark, ripe brambly black fruit.
